Stephanie Welbergen

I am a senior associate in our Commercial Practice in The Hague where I work in the fields of commercial contract and privacy law. My practice has a strong focus on technology contracts and international transactions. I am also a member of our Tech & Comms Group.

I specialise in commercial contracting, with a focus on a wide array of commercial contracts in technology-heavy industries, working with domestic and international clients. I have extensive experience in setting up licensing and distribution structures, as well as in drafting SaaS/Cloud agreements, sale & purchase agreements, distribution/agency contracts and trading platforms for IT, biotech and other companies. Within those topics, I have developed a keen interest in emerging and disruptive technologies, particularly Big Data and AI.

Within my focus area, my practice also includes privacy law. In that respect I have been involved in various GDPR-compliance projects.

My hands-on attitude has been further shaped by various secondments, both virtual and on-site, where I provided legal support directly to the clients' business on general commercial law and IT-projects.

I am a member of the Dutch Association for Distribution, Franchising and Agency Law, and the Licensing Executives Society.
