Roelien van Neck

As a partner and head of our Commercial group in the Netherlands based in The Hague, I have significant expertise in technology law and digital business. I am also a member of our Tech & Comms Group.

Focusing on commercial matters in IT and other technology-based industries, I am a specialist in digital business and technology contracts, with expertise in online business-to-consumer matters, advising our clients on all aspects of trading practices, marketing and advertising.

I also advise on commercial contracts covering distribution, sales, agency, co-operation and procurement arrangements, acting on behalf of suppliers and customers. Additionally, I represent our clients in legal proceedings in my areas of expertise.

In addition to regular speaking engagements at internal and external seminars and courses, I am also a co-editor of the legal journal 'Juridisch Up To Date' ('Legally Up To Date') and regularly contribute to other leading legal journals. I am a co-author of the leading handbook 'Recht en Computer' ('Law and Computer') (Kluwer 2014 – 6th edition).

I am Chair of the Netherlands Association of Computer Lawyers. I am also a member of various professional associations in IT and commercial law, including ITechlaw, the Netherlands Association for Media and Communication Law, and the Netherlands Association for Distribution, Franchising and Agency Law.
