Nicolas provides hands-on advice and assistance to clients in public, administrative and regulatory law matters.
Nicolas is an associate in our Regulatory and Administrative Practice Group, based in Brussels. He is also a member of our International Life Sciences and Food & Beverage Sector Groups.
Nicolas advises companies from different sectors, including Life Sciences, Food & Beverage and Chemicals, on regulatory requirements for highly technological and innovative products. Market access, pricing and reimbursement issues and marketing policies, both at the EU and domestic level, are some of the issues on which he advises our Life Sciences clients. One of his particular focuses is on regulations on the use of biological material for therapeutic applications and scientific research activities, including biobanking. Nicolas also assists clients with issues relating to REACH, CLP and related regulations on safety and environmental requirements applicable to chemical products.
In addition, he advises on regulatory law relevant to the conduct of business in the Food & Beverage field, from general food law, labelling requirements, such as health and nutrition claims, to highly-regulated forms of food products including novel food and nutraceuticals.
Across the spectrum of these sectors, Nicolas assists on borderline product classification and on regulatory path definition and compliance strategies.
General advice and litigation on Belgian public and administrative law, including town planning and environmental law, public procurement, public service and constitutional law also form part of his practice.
Nicolas holds a Law Degree from the Free University of Brussels (ULB, 2007) and a university certificate in Chemical Risk Management (ULB, 2014).
He works in French, English and Dutch.
