He regularly advises private individuals, major companies and other unincorporated associations in commercial, contractual and tortious matters. He has represented clients in professional negligence suits, employment disputes, various shareholder and company-related actions and contested estate litigation. He has represented clients in several large fraud cases. Navin also acts for clients in criminal matters, with a particular focus on white-collar crimes.
Navin has years of experience in acting and supervising prosecution matters and has handled hundreds of cases. He has also acted for and against professionals in disciplinary proceedings by professional bodies for professional misconduct and inadequate professional services.
He also has experience in charities and trust law and has advised entities on all aspects of the set-up, management, administration, and dissolution of charitable trusts.
Navin is a tutor with the Singapore Institute of Legal Education (formerly the Board of Legal Education) and teaches the module on Professional Responsibility. He has contributed to various legal publications. Navin also serves as a member of the Inquiry Panel of the Law Society of Singapore. He also serves on the Law Society’s Probate Practice Committee and Practicing Certificate and Accountants Report Committee.
