Natalia Żebrowska specialises in intellectual property and European Union law.
She is an Associate in the Energy & Utilities team in Bird & Bird's Warsaw office, currently on secondment in our Brussels office.
She has been advising clients since 2011. Natalia specialises in matters concerning protection of new technologies and technology transfer, enforcement of intellectual property rights, R&D commercialisation and trade secrets protection on both the national and EU level.
She assists clients from a variety of sectors, including media and internet, life sciences, food & beverage, IT, automotive, defence and satellite technologies. She has extensive experience in intellectual property rights registration and enforcement proceedings, as well as preparing and negotiating contracts, and building up IP management and protection strategies.
Prior to joining Bird & Bird, she worked for the European Commission’s Intellectual Property Directorate of DG Internal Market and Services. During her cooperation with the European Commission, Natalia dealt with the enforcement of intellectual property rights. She was a member of the team establishing unitary patent protection, and also supported the work of the copyright unit.
She gained her professional experience also while working with various Polish law firms and a consultancy firm, advising both Polish and foreign clients.
She has authored numerous intellectual property, R&D commercialisation and competition law publications.
Natalia graduated from the Faculty of Law and Administration of Jagiellonian University, where she also completed a course in American law. She studied at the Montesquieu University in Bordeaux (France) under the Socrates/Erasmus Programme and at Centre for International Intellectual Property Studies at the University of Strasbourg (LL.M.).
