Matthias advises domestic and international clients on all areas of Intellectual Property Law with a particular focus on patent litigation.
Matthias is a member of our Intellectual Property Practice Group and is based in our Dusseldorf office.
He advises national and international clients from various industries on intellectual property and competition law. The focus of his work is on national and international patent litigation. He also specialises in advising clients in connection with the assignment and licensing of intellectual property rights and know-how.
Matthias studied law at the University of Augsburg and at Albert-Ludwigs University of Freiburg with intellectual property law as a major field of study. During his legal clerkship, he worked for us in Dusseldorf and Singapore. This was followed by a position as a research assistant and teaching fellow under Prof. Dr. Maximilian Haedicke at Albert-Ludwigs University, Freiburg and a period of study abroad at the University of Cape Town, South Africa, where he obtained a Master of Laws (LL.M.). In addition, Matthias is writing a doctoral thesis on a patent law issue.
Matthias was admited to the bar in April 2011.
He is a member of the German Intellectual Property and Copyright Association (GRUR), the German Lawyer’s Association (DAV) as well as the German American Lawyer’s Association (DAJV).
He speaks German and English.
