Lorraine is the joint managing partner and head of the Intellectual Property practice and Tech & Comms group in our office in Singapore.
Lorraine focuses primarily on non-contentious intellectual property (IP) and general IP advisory work. She works closely with numerous clients across various industries to manage and protect their portfolio of intellectual property rights which include trademarks, patents and design covering multiple jurisdictions worldwide. She is also very experienced in handling complex cross border IP issues as well as disputes including oppositions and negotiations.
She also manages commercial transactions involving IP issues (such as mergers and acquisitions, licensing, franchising and the sale and purchase of intellectual property rights), and has experience in managing global due diligence and clearance exercises, negotiations and the drafting and preparation of related documentation. Aside from these areas, Lorraine also regularly advises clients on regulatory and advertising related issues.
Lorraine has more than 15 years of experience in intellectual property. Prior to joining the firm, Lorraine practiced at a well-established international firm, where she headed the registration practice.
Lorraine actively participates on various Committees with the International Trade Marks Association (INTA) and is consistently recognised as a leading IP lawyer by clients and top legal directories including The Legal 500, Chambers Asia Pacific, Managing IP and World Trademark Review. She regularly presents on intellectual property issues at seminars and events. Lorraine is also a registered Singapore patent agent.
