Leah is a transaction support lawyer with extensive M&A and venture debt experience.
Leah is a corporate associate based in our London office.
Since qualifying in January 2007, Leah’s practice has focused on corporate representation of both private and public US and European technology companies. She has a particular interest in mergers and acquisitions with an emphasis on cross-border transactions, corporate finance and venture debt transactions.
Leah’s M&A experience includes: representing the shareholders of MessageLabs Group in a c$700m disposal to Symantec; acting for the shareholders of Domantis Limited in a c£250m disposal to GlaxoSmithKline plc; acting for Danaher Corporation in its €450m acquisition of Leica Microsystems; and acting for private investor Atlantic Bridge Ventures in its £265m acquisition of Logica CMG Telecom Products.
Leah has also acted for the leading European venture debt provider, Kreos Capital, on a variety of debt transactions; and has also assisted several portfolio companies in securing debt financings.
Since returning to Bird & Bird in 2012 after an extended maternity leave, Leah’s professional focus has changed significantly. Leah is now primarily responsible for coordinating the firm’s due diligence projects and she successfully manages both high value, cross-border projects as well as more cost-sensitive, domestic diligence projects. Having had significant transactional experience, Leah is very well placed to ensure our due diligence projects are staffed by lawyers with appropriate experience and that the reports we prepare are client focused and on-point.
