Layla is a multilingual competition lawyer advising clients on a broad range of issues under EU and Belgian competition law.
Layla is an associate in our Competition & EU Practice, based in Brussels.
Her practice covers all areas of competition law, in particular merger control, cartels and private enforcement.
Prior to joining us, Layla completed an internship in the Private Enforcement Unit of the European Commission’s Competition Directorate General. During her studies Layla worked part-time at MLex supporting the legal research team on antitrust cases.
She obtained her law degree at Brussels University (VUB, cum laude) with a final year LL.M. specialisation in international economic law and competition law (magna cum laude).
Layla was admitted to the Brussels Bar in 2015 and joined our team in the same year.
Layla is fluent in Dutch, German, English, French and Farsi.
