Joanna has extensive experience of advising on real estate transactions.
Joanna is a senior associate and the head of our Real Estate Practice in Poland, based in Warsaw.
She has been advising clients since 2004, and specialises in real estate, construction, civil and commercial law matters. She has extensive experience of advising on complex transactions on Polish and international markets, in particular on the real estate market, including purchase and sale, commercialisation, property management and leases. She has also advised clients on the investment process, including drafting, negotiating and finalising construction contracts, as well as supporting clients in financing transactions.
Joanna has developed and conducted multistage acquisitions, real estate sales by both Polish and foreign entities complex leases for commercial clients, and industrial warehouse purposes. She has also advised clients in litigation relating to real estate issues, including those before the Court of Arbitration at the Polish Chamber Commerce in Warsaw, and administrative courts.
In addition, she advises on real estate investments undertaken by developers and investment funds, and private domestic and foreign investors. She has also completed a number of due diligence reviews and participated in numerous negotiations for a range of transactions on purchase /sale of real estate, as well as sale and lease-back transactions. Joanna has also advised on acquisitions of companies, where she was responsible for analysis and development of real estate issues.
Prior to joining us, Joanna developed her knowledge and experience in a variety of law firms. She has also gained experience of working in government institutions including the Prime Minister's Office and the Government Legislation Centre.
