Henriette is a commercial technology lawyer focussing on complex technology projects and transactions and has extensive experience representing clients in complex IT disputes.
Henriette Picot is a partner based in Munich and a member of the International Tech & Comms Group.
She handles national and international projects for suppliers and users of software, hardware and innovative IT based services, advising on technology licensing, distribution, software development (including agile), e- and m-commerce, cloud computing, open source software, outsourcing and managed services transactions, IT in M&A transactions, data protection and security, as well as the legal implications of new business models in the spheres of IoT/Industry 4.0.
Henriette assists her clients in technology disputes both before regular courts and in arbitration proceedings.
Henriette studied law at the universities of Freiburg, Seville and Dresden and was a research assistant at the universities of Freiburg and Dresden. Henriette completed her legal training in Munich and Sydney. She obtained her doctorate on German copyright law from the Technical University of Dresden as a research scholar at the Max-Planck-Institute for Intellectual Property in Munich. She joined Bird & Bird as a lawyer in 2006.
