Christophe has strong labour and social security expertise focusing on international issues, compensation and benefits, executive and collective dismissals and privacy.
Christophe is a partner and the head of our Employment Team in Brussels.
He has 14 years' experience in employment, social security, pensions, privacy and personal income tax matters. With broad experience in both individual and collective dismissals, Christophe has developed a strong practice of advising on the dismissal of top executives. He advises on transfers of undertaking, the social aspects of major reorganisations, trade secrets and privacy issues including on Byod, whistle-blowing, monitoring etc. He also focuses on the social as well as the tax aspects of compensation and benefits matters such as share related schemes, stock-option schemes, bonus schemes, self-employment and management companies, present and deferred compensation structures, split salaries, secondments and international mobility issues.
Before joining us in 2009, Christophe worked as a tax consultant at Deloitte & Touche and then as a lawyer specialising in employment law within the Brussels offices of Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer (5.5 years) and, finally, Loyens & Loeff (3.5 years).
Since 2010, he has been a supplemental judge at the labour tribunal in Brussels.
Christophe was appointed as partner in May 2013.
Christophe was admitted to the Brussels Bar in 2001 and is a member of the European Employment Lawyers Association. Christophe regularly speaks at seminars and conferences; he has also written for a number of legal publications including a book on stock options.
