Bird & Bird is pleased to welcome two new partners to its International Financial Services Sector Group and London office.

Michael Brown is a Solicitor-Advocate with 18 years’ experience of dispute resolution for banks and financial institutions. In addition to building up a considerable private practice, he has worked in-house for NatWest and on secondment to Citigroup. Michael joins Bird & Bird from Jones Day.

Their experience at the forefront of the ever-changing face of financial services makes them ideal to join our sector focused team and their respective expertise in disputes and regulation are both in extensive demand by our clients.”

Michael Brown comments: “Bird & Bird is a dynamic firm with the strong international reach necessary to work with multinational financial services clients.  I look forward to working with my new partners in the financial services team and international dispute resolution practice.

Martin Sandler comments: “My experience on the front-line of FS regulation gives me an intimate appreciation of clients’ needs and Bird & Bird’s sector driven approach is an ideal fit. I am excited to join the firm.”
