Bird & Bird signs association agreement with firm in Denmark

26 January 2012

We are pleased to announce that Bird & Bird has entered into a strategic cooperation agreement with Danish law firm Bender von Haller Dragsted (BvHD) .

This agreement came into effect on 1 January and creates another link in our north European network, which we established with offices in Stockholm and Helsinki and supplemented last year by opening in Hamburg. We have experienced significant client demand in the region, particularly in the IT and media sectors, where BvHD is an acknowledged market leader in Denmark.

Our relationship with BvHD has formed over several years and we believe this association will enable us to provide a more seamless service to our clients. We anticipate aligning key processes to improve our coordinated approach as the association develops.

David Kerr, CEO of Bird & Bird, comments: “We’re delighted to formalise our relationship with BvHD and further strengthen our capability in northern Europe. This region has proved significant for our clients, particularly those in the IT and media sectors and we look forward to working extensively with BvHD.”

Peter Lind Nielsen, Managing Partner of Bender von Haller Dragsted, comments: “We are very pleased to become an integral part of Bird & Bird’s network. This association brings international expertise to our clients and enables us to assist our clients more easily on cross-border issues.”
