ATMD Bird & Bird Wins Managing IP Global Awards 2009 Singapore IP Firm of the Year

31 March 2009

ATMD Bird & Bird has cemented its top ranking in the area of Intellectual Property in Singapore once again by winning the award for Singapore IP firm of the Year at the Managing IP Global Awards 2009 in the UK.

The winning firm was selected through a five month-long World IP Survey research. Only senior practitioners in multinationals and private practice vote in this global poll. ATMD Bird & Bird tipped law firms Drew & Napier, Amica Law and Rodyk & Davidson to win the award.

Said Sheena Jacob, head of the IP and Technology practice group, “Winning this award is a testament of our team’s strength and dedication to the field of Intellectual Property as well as the invaluable support of our clients. We are excited that our peers and clients recognize our efforts”.

Added Alban Kang, Managing Partner at ATMD Bird & Bird, "For the last few years, the award has been won by the more traditional and longer established firms. Winning the award this year has positioned our firm as a leader in the field of Intellectual Property. We are honoured by this prestigious industry recognition given to our firm".

Bird & Bird also picked up the awards for "European Patent Firm of the year", "German Contentious IP Firm of the Year", "Spanish Contentious IP Firm of the Year" at the Managing IP Global IP Awards 2009.

In January 2009, ATMD Bird & Bird LLP entered into a global association with international law firm Bird & Bird LLP.
