International law firm Bird & Bird has advised Eurofins Laboratories Limited, part of the Eurofins Group (“Eurofins”), on the acquisition of Lincolne Sutton & Wood Limited (“LSW”), a food and environmental testing company based in East Anglia. The acquisition, which was for an undisclosed amount, completed in December 2007.
The LSW acquisition is the second transaction on which Bird & Bird has recently been instructed by Eurofins. In June 2007, Bird & Bird advised Eurofins on the €50m business acquisition and outsourcing arrangements with Southern Water relating to the laboratory testing business of Southern Water Services Limited.
Angus Miln, a Senior European Consultant in the Corporate Group, headed the Bird & Bird team, assisted by corporate associate, Richard Catling.
Alice Mills, Finance Director, Eurofins UK and Ireland, said, “It was a pleasure to work with Bird & Bird again following the successful completion of the Southern Water transaction last year. As always, Angus and his team provided us with a first class service - they were pro-active throughout the transaction and quickly identified commercial solutions when problems arose. We look forward to working with Bird & Bird again in 2008.”
The shareholders of Lincolne Sutton & Wood Limited were advised by Mills & Reeve LLP (Mary Prentice).
