Bird & Bird boosts international IP group with team hire in France

International law firm Bird & Bird has recruited partner Yves Bizollon and his team of 4 associates to further strengthen the firm’s current IP capability in France and to develop its patent litigation activity. Doubling the size of the firm’s IP group in France, the new team will also support the firm’s global IP service from its office in Paris which complements the leadership of Bird & Bird’s IP capabilities internationally. The team will be joining the firm on the 1st of March.

Yves Bizollon is a recognised IP expert with over 20 years experience. He started his career in Piers Veron’s team before moving to Lamy Ribeyre & Associates where he became a partner in 1985 and head of the IP team. He advises large companies and groups on patent litigation matters as well as medium sized companies on all aspects of their IP strategy most notably in matters relating to construction, industrial machinery, chemistry and also to sports equipment and leisure.

Commenting on his appointment, Frédérique Dupuis-Toubol, managing partner of the firm’s Paris office said:
