ATMD Voted Singapore’s IP Firm of the Year for Second Consecutive Year

07 June 2006

For the second year in a row, Alban, Tay, Mahtani & de’Silva (ATMD) was voted as the top Intellectual Property law firm in Singapore at the recent Asian Legal Business (SEA) Awards 2006.

At the awards ceremony held on 1 June 2006, ATMD beat out other nominees Drew & Napier, Allen & Gledhill and Lee & Lee to win the award.

The Awards were based strictly on nominations from in-house counsel (local and regional), business leaders from a wide range of industries and leading practitioners. An independent panel of judges comprised of senior in-house
counsel and business leaders then made the final votes.

Managing Partner, Alban Kang said, “We are honored to have won again this year. Over the year, we have invested resource in building further our patent and trademark practice and been more involved in IP litigation and enforcement work. I am pleased to note that our hard work is paying off.”

Said Sheena Jacob, head of the IP and Technology practice group, “This award is a reflection of our all-round strength and the tremendous talent and dedication of our IP team.”

ATMD’s IP practice comprising 11 lawyers and patent attorneys and a team of experienced paralegals, was also voted for the third consecutive year in the top category of the Asia Pacific Legal 500 rankings, earlier this year.
