Firm appoints partner in Germany from Norton Rose

International law firm Bird & Bird has recruited Erich Michel, a highly rated corporate lawyer in Germany. Erich Michel, who joins Bird & Bird from Norton Rose where he was a partner in their Frankfurt office, will be joining Bird & Bird on 1st November. As both a German and US qualified lawyer, his appointment will significantly strengthen the firm’s corporate capability in the field of cross-border M&A and equity capital markets.

Erich brings over 15 years experience of corporate finance to the firm. He joined Norton Rose in October 2001 after 10 years of practicing with other German and US firms. His experience covers an excellent spread of financial institutions and banks, public privatisations, venture capitalists and general Mittelstand companies as well as businesses with a clear IT and telecommunications focus.
