Firm Augments Asia-Pacific Hub with Senior Appointment

The Hong Kong office of international law firm Bird & Bird has appointed a new partner, David Richardson, to spearhead the firm's corporate capability in Asia. This latest key appointment in Hong Kong reflects the firm's highly successful full service, sector focused approach and underscores Bird & Bird's continuing commitment to expansion in the Asia-Pacific region.

Born in Hong Kong and a fluent Cantonese and Mandarin speaker, David was formerly head of the corporate group with the well-known Hong Kong law firm, Victor Chu & Co. During his 13 years with the firm, he advised on a number of high profile transactions including IPO's, M&A, asset swaps, capital reconstructions and debt restructurings. He has extensive knowledge of Asian markets and considerable experience of working in the People's Republic of China.
