Firm augments highly rated communications practice with key appointment
International law firm, Bird & Bird, has appointed communications expert, Johan Tydén, to head its communications practice in Stockholm. Johan joins from KPMG Legal where he was director and head of the Communications, IT and E-commerce departments.
Johan is widely recognised as one of Sweden's legal experts in telecommunications law. He joins Bird & Bird with extensive experience of the Swedish Communications market gained when, after court service, he started his career as legal counsel at Ericsson in 1984. In 1992 Johan was appointed head of Ericsson's legal department for the business areas, Mobile Systems and Mobile Terminals where he advised on a number of high profile cases. His career escalated further when he joined KPMG Legal in 2000 as a director heading the Communications, IT and E-Commerce sectors.
