Following a recent amendment of the Dutch Competition Act, the Dutch Competition Authority (NMa) will be obliged to charge a fee for the notification of concentrations. As of 29 December 2006, parties notifying a concentration under the Competition Act will have to pay a notification fee of €15,000. If the concentration is referred to a second phase for in-depth investigation, another fee of €30,000 will be charged in connection with the application for a licence.
