Data Protection Compliance Support Group

Date: 30 November 2016
Time: 15:00 - 17:30     Venue: Bird & Bird, 12 New Fetter Lane, London EC4A 1JP

You are invited to participate in our next Data Protection Compliance Support Group meeting to be held on Wednesday 30 November. Topics to be covered will include: regulator guidance – reading the tea leaves; rolling out staff data protection training programs – tips and issues to avoid; and marketing compliance pitfalls.

In 2015, Bird & Bird launched a quarterly support group for those responsible for data protection compliance within their organisations, to help them identify and discuss the key actions which they should be prioritising and mistakes to avoid given the momentous changes which are coming to this area of law.

Our next session will be held in our new London office (12 New Fetter Lane) on Wednesday 30th November and will feature sessions on: regulator guidance – reading the tea leaves; rolling out staff data protection training programs – tips and issues to avoid; and marketing compliance pitfalls.

The meeting will provide an informal, round-table setting for those involved in this important area of compliance to share ideas and experiences and to discuss the challenges that they face. Drinks and an opportunity to network with other guests will follow the meeting. In particular, those new to data protection compliance will be catered for, although the group is suitable for those with all levels of experience and whether from a legal, regulatory, HR or security background.
