The gTLD System: The Journey so far

Date: 04 June 2015
Time: 12.30pm - 2.00pm GMT    Venue: Bird & Bird, 15 Fetter Lane, London, EC4A 1JP

This lunchtime seminar with our special guest NetNames will provide a 'How to' guide on everything to do with the new gTLD System, including enforcing your rights against infringing activity in the new gTLD arena.

The seminar will cover:

  • Should companies be thinking about registering their own "brand"?
  • What will happen if companies were to simply ignore the system?
  • What steps companies should take to monitor online infringement
  • How companies can protect their brands defensively, whether against top-level domains that might infringe their marks, competitors trying to corner the Internet marketplace for an industry-related word, or third parties creating infringing domains or content on a new gTLD registry.

You might think gTLD's are irrelevant to what your company does, but this new system is relevant to all brands.

Speakers include:

Rebecca O'Kelly Gillard, Associate, Bird & Bird

Stuart Fuller, Director of Commercial Operations, NetNames

Haydn Simpson, Product Director, Brand Protection, NetNames
