Co-hosting seminar series on Big Data in Financial Services alongside the ACC Europe

Date: 14 May 2015
Time: 3.30pm - 6.00pm GMT    Venue: Bird & Bird, 15 Fetter Lane, London EC4A 1JP

The importance of technology in the financial services sector is becoming ever more crucial as financial institutions face unprecedented challenges arising from the proper and secure management of sensitive data. Reliance on technology for storing sensitive financial data means that this is an area that can potentially be a huge risk not only to companies in the financial services sector but the issues are also of huge importance more widely.

To help better understand the risks and how they can be mitigated, Roger Bickerstaff, joint head of our International IT Sector Group, and Treena Dunlea-Peatross, associate in our Commercial Group will examine the data protection and intellectual property issues surrounding Big Data..

This is aimed, in particular, at in-house lawyers who are often the first port of call for the business when things go wrong.
