A restructuring recital - redundancies and TUPE in the modern age

Date: 25 April 2013
Time: 16.00    Venue: Bird & Bird London

Bird & Bird would like to invite you to a seminar on Thursday, 25 April 2013 focusing on collective redundancies and 'TUPE' transfers from 16.00.

Amidst the economic gloom, HR practitioners and employment lawyers have been busy advising on unprecedented levels of corporate restructuring activity, as cost cutting and downsizing measures have come to the fore. With the imminent prospect of the UK entering into an historic triple-dip recession and the rest of Europe faring little better, that trend looks set to continue.
In recent years, we have gained considerable experience advising clients, across Europe, on the management of large scale redundancy programmes and the application of the Acquired Rights Directive to outsourcing transactions, intra-group corporate reshuffles and the occasional business acquisition. By drawing on some of those experiences, this seminar aims to highlight the key issues and lessons learned from a UK perspective; in addition we shall review recent legal developments in the respective areas.
We hope you are able to join us.
