Our Bird & Bird London and Warsaw office lawyers will be speakers at the prestigious UK-Polish FinTech Seminar on 8 March 2016, organised by the British Embassy in Warsaw.

Trystan Tether, Partner and Co-Head of our International Banking & Finance Group, and Sławomir Szepietowski, Partner and Head of our Warsaw Banking & Finance Group will present the FinTech regulatory landscape in Poland, and analyse the differences between the UK and Polish regulatory regimes. Sławomir Szepietowski will also take part in the panel discussion on threats and opportunities that FinTech presents for banks and financial institutions.

During the seminar the following topics will be discussed:

  • Current FinTech trends and how major financial institutions respond to them and engage with FinTech start-ups;
  • Innovative models of partnerships between financial institutions and FinTech start-ups;
  • Threats and opportunities that new FinTech market players present for the financial services sector.

Due to the international nature of this event, the presentations and discussions will be held in English. Participation is free of charge but it requires a prior registration.
