Data Protection and Data Crisis Workshop

Date: 03 March 2015
Time: 17:00-19:30    Venue: Bird & Bird, 4/F, Three Pacific Place, 1 Queen's Road East, Hong Kong

All businesses hold information about individuals these days (be they employees or customers). No organisation can afford to ignore issues of privacy and data protection, as failure to comply with the requirements results not only in criminal and civil liability, but an adverse impact on the reputation of an otherwise sound business! Recent front page data breach incidents provide good examples.

This workshop aims to highlight key developments in data protection law in the Asia region and, more importantly, how a business should react if something goes wrong, drawing experience in particular from Europe.

This workshop would be of particular interest to in-house counsel and compliance officers that are responsible for data protection related issues.
