Data protection legislations are becoming more and more stringent around the globe. Companies collecting personal data about consumers and/or employees need to be aware of the key principles, scope and rules applicable to their business operations. Looking at the well-established EU data protection regime, and the recent developments in Asia Pacific data protection laws and Malaysian legislation, data protection experts from Tay & Partners and Bird & Bird. A particular focus will be given to data transfer requirements. There will also be Q&A sessions, where attendees may ask questions on the different regimes and discuss operational issues that may impact HR and customer data related operations.
