IT & Automotive seminar

Date: 13 October 2015
Time: 10.30 - 17.00    Venue: Bird & Bird LLP, Maximiliansplatz 22, 80333 Munich

We are pleased to invite you to another event in the series "IT & Automotive - Driving the Business through IT", which will take place on 13 October 2015 in Munich.

This year’s themes all fall under the motto "IT’s all in the Data". With the increase in car connectivity and the volume of data exchanges, major questions around data security, protection and data-dependent product liability remain to be answered. Data processes and data-driven business models will transform businesses throughout the entire automotive value chain, including OEMs, traditional suppliers and new players from the IT industry - lawyers and the legal side have a key role to play in making this work.

In this seminar, Bird & Bird’s IT & Automotive, a subgroup of the International Automotive Group, will discuss the legal and practical issues around data-enhanced and data-driven mobility services and will cover the following topics:

  • Regulatory framework for autonomous driving
  • Innovative mobility services
  • Data transactions and contractual solutions
  • Cyber-attacks – the unknown threat
  • Product liability – how does that fit to data scenarios?
  • Cyber insurance – a market yet to develop

The seminar is aimed at in-house legal counsel and senior management representatives of OEMs, automotive suppliers, IT providers and suppliers as well as insurance companies.
