From Atlas and Vulcan to Predators and Worms: Defence Innovation in a Changing World

Date: 18 November 2010

Bird & Bird's International Aerospace, Defence & Security Group would like to invite you to a breakfast seminar titled 'From Atlas and Vulcan to Predators and Worms:  Defence Innovation in a Changing World', on Thursday 18 November 2010, in our offices at 15 Fetter Lane, London, EC4A 1JP.

The first decade of the 21st century has ushered in sweeping changes to all facets of the environment in which defence and security firms operate - from geopolitical to technological, industrial, economic and financial.  In the context of these changes, how should defence companies approach innovation as a part of their business strategy?  While some functions and characteristics of innovation in defence haven't changed since the Cold War (such as product innovation), others have evolved and transformed (such as process and business models), creating real strategic dilemmas for companies seeking to create sustainable value in the market.

We are pleased to confirm Charles Armitage, Principal, Aerospace & Defence Consulting, Charles River Associates and Jacob Markish, Principal, Aerospace & Defence Consulting, Charles River Associates will be guest keynote speakers, in what will be an interactive forum.

We hope you can join us for a lively and informative meeting.
