French amateur cyclist found guilty for mechanical doping

Amateur French cyclist, Cyril Fontayne, recieved a five year ban from cycling and a criminal conviction for fraud, after he pleaded guilty in the Criminal Court of Périgeux to 'technological cheating'. Sanctions have been imposed by both the French Cycling Federation and the French state. Fontayne has been ordered to pay damages to both the FCF and the race organiser, alongside 60 hours of community service.
