Senior appointment boosts international dispute resolution practice

International law firm Bird & Bird has just recruited Jane Player, a leading litigation lawyer. Previously at DLA where she was partner and ex-head of the London Litigation Group, Jane will now have particular responsibility for the UK and International Business Development of Bird & Bird’s Dispute Resolution strategy.

With over 10 years experience of large-scale litigation, arbitration and mediation on an international level and having represented high profile clients who fit neatly into Bird & Bird’s main sectors, her recruitment will prove to be invaluable to the firm and its clients. Her international exposure will be particularly important to the firm’s expanding network of international offices.

Commenting on the recruitment, David Kerr, Bird & Bird’s CEO said:

“I’m delighted that Jane has come on board. She has a wealth of experience and is also a first class team player and motivator. At DLA she more than trebled the size of her team and this is certainly testament to her outstanding qualities. Jane has worked with a very impressive list of high-profile clients many of whom are in the TMT sector. She is an excellent fit”.

Commenting on her appointment, Jane Player added:

“Bird & Bird’s sector focus and expanding international practice offers a number of exciting new opportunities in Dispute Resolution generally and risk management services in particular. It’s a great time to join them, just as they have been named European Law Firm of the Year. I am delighted to be working with them”.
