Travelling by plane

Fiumicino Airport
Fiumicino Airport is the main international airport in Rome and is located about 32 kms from the city centre. It consists of three different terminals, linked by a shuttle bus: A for domestic flights, B for domestic and international flights (Schengen) and C for international flights (extra Schengen).

You may reach the centre of Rome by taxi and the journey takes approximately 45 minutes. Authorised taxis (white vehicles with a taximeter) are available at the arrival area of each terminal.

Leonardo Express train, which departs from terminal B, connects Fiumicino Airport to Termini Railway Station in Rome with trains every 30 minutes from 6.37 am to 23.37 pm, with a traveling time of 35 minutes (Leonardo Express train makes no mid-journey stops).

You can rent a car at the terminal A and then you can easily reach the centre of Rome through the Rome-Fiumicino motorway following the direction “Roma Centro”.

Rome Ciampino Airport
Rome Ciampino Airport, where the majority of international low-cost flights land, is located on the Via Appia Nuova, 15 kms from the centre of Rome. It is a short distance from the Rome city ring road (GRA) and from the main road system of the North-South and East-West motorways.

You can reach the centre of Rome by a taxi and the journey takes approximately 30 minutes. The taxi park is located opposite the Arrivals Hall.

It is also possible to reach the city centre by a bus service (Terravision Shuttle) which connects Rome Ciampino Airport to Termini Railway Station. This bus service is in connection with Ryanair and Easy-Jet flights and tickets can be purchased from boothes at Ciampino Airport (in front of Arrivals Hall) or at the Royal Santina Hotel at Termini Railway Station (Via Marsala, 22).

Travelling by train

Termini Railway Station is the main railway station in Rome. It lies a short distance from the city centre and is very well served by two underground lines (line A and line B).

From Termini Railway Station it is possible to reach Bird & Bird’s office either by taxi or by underground taking the Line A in the direction of Ottaviano-San Pietro and getting off at Piazza di Spagna. Bird & Bird’s office is a 4 minutes walk from here.

Travelling by car

It is important to know that the centre of Rome is permanently closed to traffic. We suggest you use public transport in order to reach our office.

The Rome city ring road (GRA), surrounding the city, allows you to enter the principal zones of Rome and it enables you to draw near the city centre.

The Villa Borghese parking, the nearest parking space to our office, is easily reachable by car from Via del Muro Torto and Via di Porta Pinciana/Via Veneto and from here you can reach directly Piazza di Spagna thanks to a subway.
