Ulrich is an expert in M&A and large scale commercial transactional work. He focuses on technology oriented sectors particularly the aviation & aerospace and life sciences sectors.

After a year at an international law firm in Frankfurt, he joined the Daimler-Benz (later DaimlerChrysler) group in 1985 where he held legal and commercial positions in medical and aerospace. He was Vice President and General Counsel of Dornier GmbH from 1992 – 1998 and Senior Vice President and General Counsel of DaimlerChrysler Aerospace 1998 – 1999. After one year as the director of a media company he joined a major German law firm in 2001 to head their corporate/M&A services group.

Ulrich has been a partner in the corporate/M&A practice of Bird & Bird since October 2003, where he focuses on private equity and corporate and commercial law.

Dr. Goebel studied law at the University of Trier and in the USA. He was admitted to the German bar in 1984.
