Matt is a partner in Bird & Bird’s Corporate Department and advises on all aspects of corporate law. 

He has 20 years' experience in acting on corporate transactional work in the City. He acts for clients from all industries but since the mid 1990's he has had a particular focus in acting for companies in technology-driven industries. 

In particular Matt has extensive experience in UK and international mergers, acquisitions and disposals, joint ventures, AIM listings (for both UK and international companies), corporate finance and equity finance. His clients have included UK and international corporates, institutions, early stage businesses, management teams and individuals.

He heads Bird & Bird's International Media Group.

Matt has been a partner at Bird & Bird since 2000.

He is listed as a leading individual for M&A work by Chambers and Partners and as Highly Recommended for Corporate Life Sciences by the Which Lawyer 2009 handbook.
