Rainbow Trust
Rainbow Trust was chosen as the charity of the year 2011 for Bird & Bird's London office. Rainbow Trust is a children's charity which provides emotional and practical support for families who have a child with a life threatening or terminal illness. Their support lasts from diagnosis throughout treatment, to bereavement or recovery and beyond.
War Child
Beginning in 2008, Bird & Bird’s office in The Hague has focused its charitable activities on the sponsorship of War Child. War Child is a group of independent organisations that work together to help children affected by war. The goal is to advance the cause of peace through investing hope in the lives of children caught up in the horrors of war. War Child has been active in over twenty war zones around the globe.
The European Data Protection Day
Members of Bird & Bird in Madrid participated in an Awareness Session on Privacy and Social Networks in the Public Schools of Madrid for pupils aged 13-15 years in 2009 and intend to continue their involvement with this annual event in the future.
