Simon is a partner in Bird & Bird’s international Commercial Group.

His work encompasses the negotiation of all forms of commercial contracts from global logistics contracts to distribution and agency arrangements. He has provided such advice to a very diverse client base ranging from heavy engineering companies
to international investment banks. Within this broad commercial setting he specializes in the negotiation of complex IT transactions and IT procurement (such as the procurement of an hosted foreign exchange dealing service for an international investment bank). He is an acknowledged expert on all aspects of outsourcing and has advised clients on a domestic, near shore and far shore basis.

Simon regularly gives seminars on IT, outsourcing and general commercial law related issues including IT procurement, the regulation of the internet, all aspects of outsourcing, MiFID and regulatory compliance and risk management. Simon also contributes to IT focused periodicals and related press.
