Welcome

In this edition of our Tax Bulletin, we look at a wide range of current international issues resulting from recent legislative changes and proposals.  Annelotte Karis, in The Hague, highlights a new beneficial tax regime for those supporting public benefit in the Netherlands.  Ulrika Hansson, a VAT expert who has recently joined our Stockholm office, discusses the proposed extension in Sweden of cash accounting for VAT purposes, and Patrick Sinewe and Henning Frase, both in Frankfurt, provide a brief summary of the forthcoming German air travel tax.  Anne Quenedey and Arnaud Colson from our Paris office consider the increased international interest in the transfer pricing of intangibles by tax authorities and the OECD.  Jos Mara Cus and Miguel Muga from our Madrid office review the current status of Spain's tax haven list. Change of ownership legislation and new tax reliefs in Germany are also discussed by Patrick Sinewe and Henning Frase, whilst Sundareswara Sharma, who has recently joined as Head of Tax of our Singapore office, provides an overview of taxation in Singapore.  Finally, Ulrika Hansson together with Timothy Goodwin and Caroline Brown from our London office, look at recent EU developments and European Court of Justice judgments.
