3 May 2012: EU DPAs issued a resolution on the EU data protection reform at the Spring Conference 2012.
29 March 2012: Comparative study of the provisions in the Directive and the draft regulation from the Belgian government. For more information click here.
29 March 2012: The Article 29 WP Group has published "Opinion 01/2012 on the data protection reform proposals".
28 March 2012: New EU Data Protection Rules webinar: A webinar was conducted in the London office with speakers, Ruth Boardman and Francis Aldhouse. The webinar outlines the review of the Data Protection Directive 95/46/EC, impact of the new rules, what the legislative process will be from here on and who the key players are.

27 March 2012: The German Parliament published a paper on 27 March 2012, which states that they may exercise its right to subsidiarity complaints with regard to the proposal for a General Data Protection Regulation. More information on this paper.

23 March 2012: The Belgium Parliament has a similar opinion with Germany. More information here.

20 March 2012: The Dutch Parliament accepted a resolution calling upon the government to vote against the Data Protection Regulation in case the level of data protection in the regulation would turn out to be lower than the national data protection act. More information here.

12 March 2012: Swedish DPA's (Data Inspection Board) opinion on the draft DP regulation.

7 March 2012: The Opinion of the European Data Protection Supervisor on the data protection reform package which was issued on 7 March. More information here.

6 March 2012: The French Senate adopted a proposal on 6 March 2012 for a European resolution on the same topic. Afterwards, the CNIL had posted its opinion criticising the draft Data Protection Regulation. More information here.
