Marjolein is a dedicated team leader and an expert in the communications, technology and media industries.

Marjolein is co-head of our International Communications Group. She also leads the Communications team in The Hague.

Over more than 25 years, her practice has covered the full range of contentious and non-contentious matters in the Communications, Information Technology (IT) and Media Sectors. She has extensive knowledge of EU and national regulation and has advised many national and multinational companies in the Communications, IT and Media Sectors on a variety of transactions and commercial contracts. She has extensive experience in litigation both on a national and European level.

Marjolein joined us in 2001 as one of the founding partners of our office in The Hague. In 2010 she became a member of our Global Board and the Management Committee. Prior to joining us, Marjolein worked at Houthoff Buruma for 15 years, the last 7 of which she was a partner.

She is the author of a range of national and international publications on national and European telecommunications, postal and media law and she is a frequent speaker on national and international conferences.

Marjolein is a member of the editorial board of Mediaforum (Dutch legal magazine on telecommunications law, media law and communications law).
