With an excellent reputation as a leading technology, copyright and data protection lawyer, Fabian is praised for his international, pragmatic and innovative thinking.

As a partner specialising in information technology (IT), technology, digital media, copyright and data protection law, Fabian divides his time between our Frankfurt and Düsseldorf offices.

Fabian advises both providers and customers on technology, IT and commercial transactions, projects and outsourcing matters. He also specialises in drafting and negotiating  complex contracts; software, hardware, copyright and licence issues and related disputes; as well as advising on contractual and regulatory issues in the mobile-/eCommerce, social media, media and broadcasting, convergence,  IT security and data protection sectors.

He has in-depth experience and a strong reputation for advising on legal issues related to new technology and convergence topics,including Software as a Service (SaaS), cloud computing, geo-location services and copyright levies. He co-leads our international cloud computing initiative and leads our International Social Media Group.

Fabian is co-author of the Cloud Computing Law, Data Protection & Compliance guidelines of the German internet association eco. He frequently speaks, publishes and is interviewed on IT, outsourcing, cloud computing, social media, data protection and copyright topics.

Having studied and written his doctoral thesis on "Copyright and Electronic Publishing" in Bonn and London, Fabian took his legal traineeship in Cologne and the United States.
