Armand’s outstanding knowledge and attention to detail have earned him a great reputation in patent litigation in the electronics, life sciences and food sectors.
Armand has been the managing partner of our office in the Hague since 2007. He is also co-head of our International Food and Beverage Group and a member of the Electronics Group.
With over 15 years’ experience, he is fully dedicated to intellectual property litigation and strategic advice. Armand has developed a strong focus on international patent disputes, in particular in the electronics and life sciences and food industries.
Armand's other main field of attention is anti-counterfeiting proceedings, including running border detention programs for clients, both in relation to patents and world-famous trademarks.
In between litigation, he negotiates and drafts licences, technology transfers and research and development agreements.
Armand is recommended on international rankings, and won the World Leader Award for best contribution to European patent litigation. He chaired the International Trademark Association (INTA)'s anti-counterfeiting EU committee from 2008 to 2010. He also lectures on intellectual property valuation to business decision makers (MBA) at Erasmus University, and authored Getting the Deal Through: “Patents 2010/2011” and a chapter on intellectual property in Business Transactions 2010/2011.
