The Dispute Resolution (Litigation and Arbitration) team, led by Vonnick Le Guillou and Marion Barbier aims to assist and advise clients in pre-litigation and litigation situations, in both France, and other parts of Europe
When considering the client’s strategic objectives, the Bird & Bird Dispute Resolution team evaluates the risks involved and advises on the appropriate strategy to follow, whether through Alternative Dispute Resolution or through the appropriate type of litigation.
Our expertise covers various key areas: Company law, Stock Market law (M&A, regulation of the powers of corporate bodies, shareholder relationships), Commercial law (breakdown of negotiations, breakdown of contractual relationships, performance of agreements), Business Criminal law, liability and in particular product liability and industrial risk.
Due to the sectors in which we specialise, namely, Telecommunications, IT, Internet, Advertising, Media, Life Sciences, Transport, Aerospace and Energy, our thorough knowledge of the technical aspects of our clients’ activity undoubtedly strengthens our expertise in law and litigation proceedings.
The Dispute Resolution team intervenes before the national Courts or competent Public Authorities, as well as before national and international Arbitration Courts. We also have a strong practice in Alternative Dispute Resolution (conciliation, mediation).
The team deals exclusively with litigation (Commercial litigation, Industrial Risks, Business Criminal law, Mediation and Arbitration) and naturally works in collaboration with the teams in different sectors on their litigation and pre-litigation cases.
