Note - change to application deadline
Bird & Bird have decided that the deadline date for applications this year will be brought forward to 31th May 2010 as a result of a substantially increased number of applications. We will be holding our assessment days on the 27th and 28th July 2010.
Graduate recruitment for September 2012
We will be recruiting 17 trainee solicitors during 2010 who will start with us in September 2012. We consider applications from graduates in a variety of disciplines including language abilities and commercial awareness. Excellent 'A' levels and a strong 2:1 or a 1st are expected but more importantly we look for well-rounded individuals who will fit in well in our environment. The trainees we recruit are outgoing, articulate team players, willing to work hard when called upon and genuinely interested in progressing their careers.
Your training contract with Bird & Bird
Our trainees enjoy broad-based training in a fast-moving and challenging environment. They take on responsibility from day one, carrying out varied and interesting work for great industry-shaping clients. We run a business skills development programme to provide you with the basic building blocks for your future development within the business of law. The firm is still personal enough for our trainees to make their mark in our friendly, stimulating work place.
Trainees will spend six months in four of the following practice areas: Corporate, Commercial, Employment, Banking, Tax, Communications, IT and e-commerce, Intellectual Property, Dispute Resolution and Real Estate.

Applications will be reviewed from April onwards and successful applicants will be invited, prior to the deadline, to attend one of our Insight and Selection days.
