Fidel obtained his law degree in 1998 at the Complutense University of Madrid and spent his last year at the Universitá degli Studi di Bologna, Italy. He holds an Advanced Studies Diploma of Law (Commercial Law Department of the Complutense of University of Madrid) and was a Visiting Researcher at the Juristen Fakultät, Universität Leipzig, Germany and a Complutense Fellow at the European Law Research Center (Harvard University, U.S.A.).

Since starting his practice as a lawyer at a local firm in Madrid in 1999, Fidel has represented and counselled both national and international clients before the Spanish Courts and the Spanish Trademark and Patent Office in the area of Intellectual Property including litigation, prosecution, negotiation, licensing and administration of intellectual property assets.
